"During
the Fall 2003 Pendleton Pilates Mat and Reformer Certification
Class, I learned more than I expected to learn. Having
been a dancer all my life and being introduced to Pilates
Reformer in college, I had a pretty good understanding
of the method already. Even so, the process used during
the Pendleton Pilates Training Sessions, allowed me
to add to my own previous training. I truly enjoyed
dividing the material up over different weeks. Doing
so helped me to better understand, explore, and experiment
with a specific area. In addition, being allowed to
practice teaching on each other helped me in working
with real people instead of just studying from a book.
It also aided in giving me more confidence when it came
time to test out and teach our classes. The other opportunity
I found to be extremely helpful, was the chance for
us to take any of the classes from the many different
and wonderful instructors at Pendleton Pilates. It was
nice to get different teaching methods. Stacy Sims and
Emily Ingram did an excellent job of meeting all of
our different needs even though we each came from a
different background. Thank you!"
Jenny Goodlett
Jenny Goodlett has been dancing all of her life.
She began training at a young age in ballet, tap, jazz,
and clogging from The Studio for Dance in Blue Ash,
Ohio. Jenny continued her training in ballet, pointe,
and modern (Horton) at The University of Cincinnati's,
College Conservatory of Music. At CCM, she began in
The Preparatory Department and danced her way through
college as a Dance Major. She graduated with a Bachelor
of Fine Arts with Honors in Dance. After graduation,
Jenny was offered a job performing with The Cincinnati
Ballet Company. While in college and as a ballerina
with The Cincinnati Ballet Company, Jenny was introduced
to Pilates as a form of additional training to her dancing.
Jenny enjoyed the benefits of Pilates so much, that
when she retired from performing, she was interested
in sharing this physical and mental method of conditioning
with others. Jenny received her Pilates Mat and Reformer
Certification from Pendleton Pilates in November of
2003. Currently Jenny is a dance instructor/choreograpger
at The Studio for Dance and CCM Preparatory Department.
She hopes to find time to teach with Pendleton Pilates.
"Stacy
and the Pendleton staff have created a wonderful environment
for, not only transforming the body, but also helping
us shift the way we relate with it, whether it's in
the studio, at home, taking a walk or simply sitting
and breathing. For anyone who would like encouragement
for becoming a student or a teacher, please call me!"
Patrick Przyboroski
After
living for twelve years in New York and Boston and working
in the corporate sector for companies such as MTV, Sony and
American Express, Patrick decided that a "quality of life" change
was in order. He returned to his hometown of Dayton, Ohio to spend time with his
family and to seek out work and learning opportunities that develop and integrate
mind, body and spirit. In his search, Patrick was delighted to discover
the Pendleton teacher training program via our website, from which
he graduated in November, 2003, and is thrilled to be working with Pendleton
clients and instructors.
